FAQ
-
You do not require any previous pilates or reformer pilates experience to attend our classes. We pride ourselves on maintaining an intimate environment where our highly experienced team of instructors can tailor and adapt all classes to suit all levels.
-
Reformer pilates is recommended by doctors and other health professionals for overall health, injury prevention, and rehabilitative purposes. Pilates is a balance of low impact, body conditioning movements that provide a full-body workout which in turn improves power, strength, flexibility and endurance.
Other benefits include increased agility and mobility, increased muscle-tone, improved core strength/stability, improved posture and balance, improved clarity and concentration and improved breathing and lung volume.
-
Comfortable exercise clothing is suitable for all classes. We recommend that form fitting clothing be worn to avoid loose fabric getting caught in the reformer springs.
And socks! We require all participants to wear grip socks. We have plenty available in the studio for purchase if you don’t have a pair. Please ask the instructor for some when you arrive or alternatively you can purchase a pair via the Manna Wellness App.
Reformer beds and equipment are sanitized immediately after use, however, we highly recommend using a reformer mat for safety and hygiene reasons. A limited amount of mats are available for purchase in the studio.

Classes can be booked via our Website or the Manna Wellness App. The app is our easiest way to view classes and make a booking - you can book classes, buy class packs, purchase merchandise and process payments all from your mobile. Click the links at the bottom of the page to download for Iphone or Android.
You can also book classes right here on our website. You will be asked to create an account if you a new to Manna Wellness.

If you join a waitlist, you will be automatically added to the class if a space becomes available, up to 30 minutes before the class starts. You will be notified via text and/or email (depending on your ‘opt in’ preferences).
By adding yourself to a waitlist, you are committing to attend the class if a spot becomes available. If you can no longer attend the class then please ensure you remove yourself from the waitlist to allow others the opportunity.
Each class has 6 waitlist spots available.
-
If you are added to a class from the waitlist, then our usual late cancellation policy applies.
This means that if you are added to a class from a waitlist, you will forfeit the class credit in the event you cancel within 8 hours prior to the class start time, or do not attend. This is the case even if you are added to the class less than 8 hours before the class start time. If you can no longer attend the class then please ensure you remove yourself from the waitlist (before you are added to the class) to avoid forfeiting a class credit.
Waitlist notifications may occur up to 30 minutes prior to the relevant class. If you have not already, we suggest you select email and text notifications in your account to ensure you receive the relevant notifications.
-
We have a strict 8-hour cancellation policy. This means that if you cancel a class within 8 hours prior to the class start time or you do not show to a class you will lose a class credit. Cancellations must be made via your account (either the Manna Wellness or MindBody App or your online account). We do not accept email or phone cancellations.

The Padbury building (in which the clinic/studio is situated) has its own parking area located on the eastern side of the building which is available for use by all Manna Wellness clients. There is generally also plenty of street parking on Terrace Road, although it can get busy during school drop off and pick up times so give yourself plenty of time to find a spot.
We have toilet facilities at the clinic/studio (which can be used as a change room if needed).

Of course! Men are welcome and encouraged to join any classes we offer. In fact, pilates was originally invented by a man for men. Our highly trained team of instructors (which includes physiotherapists) can adapt any class so that it is challenging and rewarding for men.
For athletes, you will also find it a complimentary workout to sports training by building strength and flexibility in a low-impact environment.
-
We kindly request you arrive 5 minutes prior to class to enable you plenty of time to be checked in, discuss any injuries with your instructor and set yourself up on the reformer equipment. If you are a new client, please ensure you arrive at least 10 minutes prior to class start time. If you arrive after the class has begun, the instructor may refuse late entry to avoid disruption to the class.

At Manna Wellness, we love to see clients across many stages of life participating in our classes. We do require clients to be at least 14 years of age to participate in our Reformer Pilates. If under 18 years, their parent/guardian will be required to sign a waiver to approve their attendance at the classes. Once this is signed, they are good to go!

Congratulations! Of course. Pilates is one of the most highly-recommended forms of exercise during pregnancy and postpartum. Along with the broad range of mental benefits Pilates offers, there are some unique advantages to practicing Pilates during pregnancy and after you give birth, including strengthening pelvic floor, improved breathing control, improved balance and posture, reduced muscle and back pain and faster postpartum recovery.
While all of our classes are suitable for pregnant mums, we are so excited to also offer you our Manna Mums Program! At the moment, we are offering our Prenatal Reformer classes on Monday mornings, specially designed for expectant mums. Led by our resident Physiotherapist, Bianca Thyer, these classes are safe and suitable for women at all stages of pregnancy. By encouraging safe core and pelvic floor activation, these classes are designed to prepare you for each phase of the pregnancy and labour journey. You will leave feeling energised and equipped to tackle postpartum recovery with ease!
Important to note: all pregnant clients are required to receive clearance from their medical doctor (and provide a copy to Manna Wellness via email). With medical clearance, pregnant/postpartum mums are welcome to join any of our classes. Our highly trained instructors can modify/adapt classes to suit.

Our Stretch & Flex classes are designed as a gentle Pilates workout that aims to stretch and restore your body. These classes focus on movements that help lengthen your muscles and release any tension. Throughout this 45 minute workout, your instructor will lead you through exercises to work on strength and control throughout your body. These classes may also involve the use of other equipment, such as trigger balls, to engage and release any tension deep in your muscles. We recommend our Stretch & Flex classes for when you feel your body is needing a little TLC with some relaxation and release.

We know that our members value the convenience and flexibility of a 28-day booking window. However, allowing this booking flexibility does also allow members to book unpaid classes in excess of their membership allocation. We kindly request that you do not book additional classes if you do not intend on using them (to avoid clogging up the class timetable).
If you do want to attend additional classes, that is perfectly fine too! Additional classes will be automatically charged at a later date at a “members only” rate of $25 per class (instead of the usual $38 per class). We have created a special single class pass available to “members only” if you would prefer to purchase an additional class upfront. It is called “Additional Class (Members Only)”.
Please note that you will not receive a notification when you go over your fortnightly class allotment. It is up to you to keep track of the number of classes you book within your fortnightly cycle, so if you do book an extra class, it won’t come as a surprise when you are charged. Our additional class fee will be strictly applied for all additional classes, including late cancels.
