MANNA WELLNESS – TERMS & CONDITIONS

Change of Terms

Manna Wellness reserves the right to change its hours of operation, the services offered, its class timetables and its fees at any time, without prior notice.

Minimum Age

You must be a minimum of 14 years of age to attend classes at Manna Wellness and/or obtain a membership. Minors under the age of 18 must have parental or legal guardian consent to join, and the required paperwork must be completed. This includes completing a parental guardian consent form at the time of joining or attending.

Cancellation of Membership by Manna Wellness

Manna Wellness may cancel a membership or refuse a client entry at any time if he/she fails to adhere to these terms and conditions or to any other directions or guidelines of Manna Wellness, or his/her behaviour is not acceptable or for any other reason that management considers to be inappropriate. Manna Wellness reserves the right to refuse access in these circumstances.

Safety and Hygiene

You agree to wear appropriate exercise attire to all classes. Loose fabric should be avoided to avoid clothing becoming caught in the reformer springs. All clients must wear grip socks when using the equipment, for safety and hygiene purposes. A reformer mat is also highly recommended. These items are available for purchase in the studio.

You agree to respect the health and safety of other clients of Manna Wellness by not attending the studio where you are suffering from an infectious or contagious illness or disease.

You agree to wipe down your reformer and box at the end of each session using the spray and paper towels provided.

Latecomers

We request you arrive 5 minutes prior to class to enable you plenty of time to be checked in, discuss any injuries with your instructor and set yourself up on the reformer equipment. If you are a new client, please ensure you arrive at least 10 minutes prior to class start time. If you arrive after the class has begun, the instructor may refuse late entry to avoid disruption to the class.

Pregnancy

All pregnant clients are required to receive clearance from their medical doctor (and provide to us a copy via email) before attending any pilates or other movement classes at Manna Wellness.

Cancellations

We have a strict 8-hour cancellation policy. This means that if you cancel a class within 8 hours prior to the class start time or you do not show to a class you will lose a class credit. Cancellations must be made via your account (either the Manna Wellness App, the MindBody App or your online account). We do not accept email or phone cancellations.

Under our late cancellation policy, you will be charged one of your allotted classes if you are a no-show or otherwise cancel within 8 hours of the class start time.

Waitlist

Each class has 6 waitlist spots available. When you choose to add yourself to a waitlist, you are choosing to attend the class if a spot becomes available. This means that as soon as a spot becomes available, you will be automatically added to the class and notified via text and/or email (depending on your ‘opt in’ preferences).

Our usual cancellation policy (referred to above) applies if you are added to a class from the waitlist. This means that if you are added to a class from a waitlist, you will be charged a class credit if you cancel within 8 hours prior to the class start time, or do not attend.

Waitlist notifications may occur up to 30 minutes prior to the relevant class. If you have not already, we suggest you select email and text notifications in your account to ensure you receive the relevant notifications.

General Studio Rules

You may be refused entry, have your membership suspended or terminated if you do not follow the studio rules and regulations. This includes but is not limited to the following conditions:

·        Entering the facility under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited.

·        Sexual or racial harassment, or any kind of harassment/intimidation is not accepted.

·        You must be respectful to our staff and members.

Equipment Use

All equipment must be used in a respectful manner and dropping of any equipment/dumbbells is not allowed. All dumbbells, pilates balls, massage balls, pilates rings and any other equipment, must be returned to its shelf after use.

Belongings and lost property

Storage shelving and baskets are available to clients and members to place their personal belongings in for the duration of class. Bags, shoes and other belongings are not permitted to be placed on the studio floor and must be placed in the shelving provided. Clients may place one drink bottle on the studio floor next to their reformer or mat.  Manna Wellness is not responsible for any lost or damaged personal property and recommends you do not bring any valuables into the studio.

Manna Wellness will endeavor to retain any lost belongings or personal property for 7 days after which time it may be disposed of in such manner Manna Wellness considers appropriate.

Photos and promotional materials

Classes may be recorded by our instructors for quality control, as well as promotional purposes. If you do not consent to the instructor using video or still images taken during the class for promotional purposes, you agree to notify us in writing. Otherwise, you will be taken to have given your permission to Manna Wellness photographing or video recording you while participating in the classes. You authorise the use or reproduction of any such image for the purposes of publishing materials related to the classes whether via print, electronic, video or social media.

You must not film or photograph other members without their express consent.

Booking window

Our booking window is 28 days in advance to ensure members added convenience and booking flexibility (but this may be subject to change at any time and from time-to-time at the discretion of Manna Wellness).

Pausing your membership

A member may from time to time have unique circumstances that prevent them from using their membership, such as illness or injury, pregnancy or travel. In such circumstances a member may request to place their membership on hold.

All such requests must be made in writing (via email) at least 2 business days prior to the commencement of the membership hold date (expect in the case of illness, injury or pregnancy in which case no notice is required). Once received, Manna Wellness will place the membership on pause for the duration of the requested pause period (which pause period must be for no less than 2 weeks on each occasion and no longer than 2 months total per annum).

There is no fee payable to place a membership on hold.

Additional classes for members

Members can attend additional classes (that is classes in addition to their weekly membership allocation) at a “members only” rate of $25 per class. Additional class passes may be purchased upfront via the app (called “Additional Class (Members Only)”). Otherwise, additional classes will be automatically charged at a later date.

Members will not receive a notification when they go over their fortnightly class allotment. It is up to members to keep track of the number of classes they book within their fortnightly cycle, so if they do book an extra class, it won’t come as a surprise when they are charged. Our additional class fee will be strictly applied for all additional classes, including late cancels.

Waiver of Liability

Upon creating an account with Manna Wellness, you will be prompted to sign a waiver of liability. You must sign the waiver prior to attending any classes at Manna Wellness.

Membership cancellations and terminations

28 days’ written notice is required to terminate your membership with Manna Wellness (or 42 days if you signed up to your membership under a promotional offer). Unfortunately, we cannot accept verbal, text, Instagram or Facebook termination requests – they must be done via email.

Your membership payments will continue to be direct debited fortnightly until the 28-day notice period expires.

Injury/Illness

You must disclose to us, prior to participating in any class, any pre-existing conditions that may place you at a higher risk of injury or inhibit your ability to participate in a class, including but not limited to: illness, injury, pain or recent surgery; pregnancy (including where you have recently given birth); and/or respiratory or heart conditions, including high blood pressure.

You must notify us if you experience any pain during the class and will immediately stop participating in the class if requested by the instructor to do so. Based on the information you provide, the instructor may decide not to allow you to participate in a class, or may require you to provide a medical certificate confirming that you are able to participate in a class before allowing you to join, at the instructor’s sole discretion. You agree to comply with all directions and guidelines that are given to you by us with respect to proper and safe participation in our classes. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your physical environment is suitable for your participation in any class and you agree to operate and studio facilities or equipment correctly. If in doubt as to how to correctly operate any studio facilities or equipment, you agree to consult with a staff member or instructor.

Miscellaneous

Attendance is limited to one class per day, unless permission is otherwise obtained (in writing) from a Manna Wellness staff member.

We will use our best endeavors to notify clients of any cancelled classes as early as possible. We are generally closed for major public holidays.
